Kylemore Abbey

The Abbey has been restored for visitors to enter and learn about the history of romance, education, innovation and tragedy within those walls. The 6 acre Victorian Walled Garden holds beautifully restored garden buildings and managed floral garden and displays.

Throughout the 100 acres estate, guests are invited to explore the woodland & lakeshore walks and discover the Gothic Chuch and Mausoleum where Mitchell and Margaret Henry were laid to rest, side by side.

The estate sits within the Connemara National Park, one of Irelands largest parks covering more than 2,000 hectares of scenic mountains, bogs, grasslands and woodlands. It is here you will find part to the famous Twelve Bens, including Benbaun Mountian.
